The Small Town (Back in the Village)

      The women had grown very worried. For it had been many hours since she had seen her husband. All of her stuff and her daughters stuff was packed and ready on the carriage the only thing left to be put on was her and her girls. The driver had insisted that they left before it got to dark, but the women didn't feel right leaving her husband alone without first knowing he was okay.

"Ma'am, please we must go. It will be dark soon and if we leave any later we wont make it to our rest site in time," the driver said.

"In time for what? Supper that'll be quite alright because I have packed us some dinner. What else could you be late for? You have one job and that is to get me and my girls to my parents house. Seeing that we are not yet on the carriage you shouldn't worry yourself," the woman snared at the driver.

"Before the predators come out to feed. If we leave any later that little supper that you have made will only make us a bigger target for them. Now please lets go," the driver jumped up on the carriage and extended his hand towards the woman.

"How about we go tomorrow like you said it's already late. We'll never make it in time. We can start off first thing in the morning," the women extended her hand out towards the driver with a smile.

"Fine then as you wish. I guess I will just find an Inn to stay at for the night," the driver said.

"Nonsense you shall stay here. I have already inconvenienced you. Please stay here for the night," the women said.

      The driver agreed to the terms and went inside of her house.

"Now let me warm you up some food," the women said.
